Walk About with Allen
Spent last Sunday walking around Bristol with my good friend Allen from Image44 Photography and my partner Sharon. The plan was to take photos from low level, look for letter shapes of the alphabet and something else that I can’t remember.
I think Allen did better than me with the alphabet challenge and I was extremely happy with my door shots. However I did cheat with the door images as I went back the next morning and took some more with my red phone.
You can check out Allen’s image from here.

Paint Shoot
After many years of service my roll of white seamless paper had seen better days.
Rather then just recycle the last couple of meters we decide on a paint shoot with three girls and lots of paint. The shoot was over in less than 30 minutes with paint on the floor, walls, camera and me. Great fun!

Mind-numbing white
I find shooting against a white background very boring, but it’s what people what so what can I say.

January’s Update
Another busy month with 2 studio and a food shoot completed during the month. Unfortunately I had two model shoots cancelled which is very disappointing, hopefully both sessions can be rearranged.

My converted infrared Canon 30D finally arrived today. Now I am just hoping the weather is going to be good this weekend so I can go out and take some pictures with it.

My First Book
Like many photographers I’ve got thousands of images across multiple drives that will never see the light of day again as I don’t normally print any of my images.
After seeing some excellent photo books recently I decided to get a book printed with Blub.
The book arrived yesterday and I very impressed with it.
The software is very simple to use with lots of different page templates. I also like the option to sale my book on their web site.

Infrared Photography
One of my New Year’s resolutions is to try and add some fine art type images to my portfolio. My first attempt is to try and master infrared photography which I tried a couple of years ago. This time I am going for it big style by purchasing a second hand Canon 30D and getting it converted to infrared.
To ensure I don’t lose interest in my new project I’ve created a blog to record my progress. The blog is called Infrared Photography.
